Proficiency testing CBQA Readout
IQN Path is pleased to endorse the CBQA Readout Proficiency Testing program.
The purpose of the program is to increase and harmonize proficiency of biomarker readout for clinical scientists, pathologists, and medical laboratory technologists. We focus on challenging and emerging biomarkers that require a high level of skill as demanded by advancements in precision medicine.
CBQAreadout.ca uses digital images instead of glass slides to assess the proficiency of the readout. Therefore, the performance with digital images may or may not be fully representative of performance with histology slides. Participants may have the same, worse, or better performance with digital images than with physical glass slides. However, taking part in this exercise does enable participants to compare their performance with that of experts as well as their peer group using the same media format.
The program is accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) through which physicians can earn Section 3 credits for Maintenance of Certification Program. Furthermore, participation is free, modules on CBQAReadout.ca are accessible at any time, and participants can work through the modules at their own pace.
